Keep Sparkling ♥

       Hi friends :)
Today I'm sharing a quick one layered card here.

So without further delay, here is what I did.

  • Stamped few gifts from HOTP mini stamp set & embossed them in gold.  Colored them using distress inks.
  • Created a heart mask & sponged distress inks around it & embossed a grungy heart around the heart by drawing using Versamark pen & embossing them in gold embossing powder.
  • Created a heart shaped tag & covered it with glitter washi tape. Added matching ribbons & adhered to the card base using foam tape.
  • Stamped the sentiment using pigment inks & embossed using clear embossing powder. And ran the pink distress ink pad around the edges for a border

Am glad how it turned out & I am happy with the color combo

A Rainbow of Flourishes

       Good evening friends!!
Today I'm writing about the first waterfall card I ever made & my first tag. I made this with the theme Rainbow in my mind & so I made it as colorful as I could

Waterfall card
There is nothing much to describe, I followed a YouTube tutorial & made it in my own style. For the little tags I used colored card stock embossed with flourishes using clear embossing powder. Then added sentiments to each tag using white embossing powder.

For the front panel I used a white card stock & stamped little hearts all around using distress inks in rainbow colors. Handwritten "Keep Smiling " sentiment with a touch of watercolor pencils, again in rainbow colors to add some fun!!

Assembled my waterfall card & stuck it to a black card stock to finish my card & added a handwritten quote to the back.

Made a matching envelope; doodling using Uniball pens in rainbow colors & doodled the name in black.

Tag
I used a white linen card stock & sponged the distress inks in rainbow colors, clear embossed the same flourishes & then used the latest technique by Jennifer McGuire to lift the colors using a baby wipe. The clear embossed areas retain the colors giving a gorgeous finish. I love this technique.
Then added few butterflies & sentiment in black embossing powder.

Love brings you Home ♥

       Good evening friends!!

Today I'm sharing a mixed media canvas. A different try with loads of flowers & my first canvas with chipboard. Had lots of fun creating this ♥ .
I took a 8"x10" canvas & primed it with a layer of gesso. Applied yellow & orange acrylic paints to create a distressed background.

Applied a coat of diluted gesso to tone down the colors & then added some home-made texture paste using HOTP & TCW stencils.

Then added the flowers & flourish chipboard from Dusty Attic-Doodads #7  and loads of semi-circle glitter beads.

Added the words Life, Love & Home using Tim Holtz stencils and home-made texture paste. Then went crazy with scented spray inks from Hampton Art (grapefruit, vanilla, cinnamon & lavender).
Took the "Journey" chipboard from Dusty Attic-Word Pack #3 & then embossed with metallic pink embossing powder in two layers. Then added highlights with red & pink pigment ink & embossed them too with clear embossing powder. Added it to my canvas & gave a coat of glossy accents for a glossy look!!

Added highlights to the flowers & flourish using acrylic colors & Inka gold in Gold. Hand painted the sentiment.
Added some background flourishes in Archival Monarch orange & sponged the border using the same.

Well, I am happy with how it turned out. Gifted it to my cousin's House warming party with best wishes for the happy & exciting journey in their new home

My first card using stamps ♥

       Good morning friends!

The card I am sharing today is very special to me. It is the first card I made using stamps & the third card I made. I made this one in July, 2015. Also sharing a photo of my first crafty collection ♥

Coming to the card I'm sharing today, I created the background using Ink smooching technique with pink, red, orange & yellow acrylic colors.
Stamped the branch & flowers with archival blank ink. Added sentiments using the same & mounted on a card base using foam tape.
