Baby Girl ♥♥♥ Mixed media canvas ♥

Good day friends, today I'm gonna take you on a mixed media journey.
This is a mixed media canvas I did to celebrate with my friend, she delivered a baby girl

Let's keep this short as I'm kinda busy now & I meant to post my project this month!!
I created lots of texture by pasting left over card stock cut into small pieces using matt medium.

Then applied pearl colors in shades of pink & purple and blended them with a baby wipe.

Used butterflies cut from a decoupage napkin & pasted them using gel medium. Used home made texture paste with Tim Holtz and Dylusions stencil to add some more texture to the canvas. Added color to the texture paste.

Then used Crafters Corner stencil to add some text, again with my texture paste.

Used Memento ink to stamp some flowers on a tissue paper, fussy cut them & pasted it using gel medium.

Then used Inka gold to add some shine, which isn't visible much in the photos. But trust me, it is there

And finally added some hand written sentiments using Uniball signo white pen. Used Vintage photo DI to slightly darken the edges!!

Some more shots to finish my post

Watercolor Explosion Card ~ ICR Watercolor Blog Hop ♥

       Good evening friends!!

It has been a long time since I updated my blog, got busy with my studies, health issues & some commissioned works. And then saw this ICR Watercolor Blog Hop & couldn't resist myself from creating a card

First of all, wonderful inspirations from the DT. Beautiful & subtle backgrounds, shadings using watercolors, highlights & texture ~ awesome works. Do check out their blogs for inspiration
Let's go back to my card!!

For this card I used a 4x4 inch front panel with an explosive interior!! Used Ranger black embossing powder to stamp the images. Then used Distress ink & Memento ink to watercolor the images, trying to create some shading. Finally added some white highlights with Uniball signo white pen & added an outline using the same.

The interior of the card is purple colored card stock, sponged with distress ink. Added sentiments from various stamp sets & used KaiserCraft triangles for the background

With a matching envelope

Few more shots to show the white highlights & clear embossing on the sentiment
