♥ Ink Smooching ♥

      Happy day friends!!
I am back again today with a card I made for my cousin's birthday. I was so engrossed in making the card that I forgot to take step by step photos!!

Well, here is what I did,
I took a Iris Sg white card stock & cut it to desired dimensions.
Used Memento Lilac Posies with a sponge to color the background.
Then went ahead & used the Ink smooching technique using Memento Lilac Posies & Tangelo ink to get a patterned background.
Darkened the edges of the card using Lilac Posies ink again.
Then used a banner stamp from We R Memory Keepers set to ink up the banner & added sentiments using Hot of The Press stamps

      I totally love it

Wedding Bells ♥♥

Hi friends, today I am here with a handmade Wedding gift for my friend. It's an Indian style wedding picture & it was so much fun creating it & coloring the background.

I used a A4 size watercolor sheet from ItsyBitsy & made grid lines to pencil the image with ease.

And once done I was thinking whether to do a No-line coloring or to portray it with lines?!

I finally decided to go with lines as it defines the image well.

And I erased the grid lines, and I guess I am happy with how it turned out.

I used Camlin water colors for coloring the image, used bright colors as I wanted them to be a bright & happy couple!!

Once done I used green water color to saturate the background taking care to stay clear of the areas I had already painted. Then I used liberal amounts of table salt & kosher salt and sprinkled them all over the background. Then I let it dry overnight.
Scraped of the excess salt, reinforced the black lines with my Pilot black pen & my friend's wedding gift is ready

♥ Some more flowers ♥♥♥

Hi everyone, it's me back again with yet another flower, this one made with M-Seal used to decorate a Clay pot!!

I am going to keep it simple as it was just a 15 minutes project. I used M-Seal to design the flower & the leaves, stuck them to the clay pot & let it dry.
Once dried I painted them using diluted acrylic paint & it's done. Your personalized pottery is ready to adorn your desk

Paper Rose ♥♥

Hi everyone, today I am here with an entirely different project inspired by "Create something Catchy~ August Challenge!!"

I was awestruck by those brilliant flowers made by the DT as well as those who participated. So here is a Paper Flower I made.

I used a paper template to cut out the petals from coloured card stock. And ended up cutting one petal from first template & two petals from second & so on till I ended up with a single petal.

I coloured them with Memento Tangelo & Potter's clay inks!! Rolled them together, pasted the edges using adhesive & stacked each of them one over the other. Gave a bit of dimension to the edges by rolling them outwards using a paint brush!!

This completes my flower & I am happy with how it turned out.

♥ Create ♥♥ Inspire ♥♥♥

Hi everyone, it's been a few days since I shared my art & now I am back with a card I created for my friend.
It is just a note of thanks for the lovely gifts she gave for my birthday

She has added her Card to the "August Challenges - Week #1 - The Craft Shop" & it was an inspiration for me.

Coming to my card, this is how I interpret the sentiment on mine!!
1. Create something catchy INSPIRED me to CREATE this card.
2. My friend CREATED her card which INSPIRED me to create one myself.
3. Craftshop helps me CREATE & your crafty works INSPIRE me.
4. CREATED my card, INSPIRED by their banner.

I used a blending tool with Memento inks to create the background, stamped my butterflies with Memento inks. Added some more butterflies with Versamark & applied Wow Platinum glitter embossing powder & heat set them. ( I totally adore them  )

That's the card for today. Hope I inspired a few.
