Happy Birthday ♥♥

       Good evening

The project I'm sharing today is special to me in a way!! My first time working with patterned papers!! Can you believe that, yep; I do buy patterned papers but I always end up hoarding them because they are so cute. But somehow Lulupu challenge made me to dive into my collection!!

Coming to the project, it's not a difficult one, I made it so that it can be kept as a card or added to books as a memoryI'm mailing it to my friend but I want it to be a surprise & so you can see me blurring the photo in the middle.

I took a black card stock & cut out a square. Then pasted one of my precious pattern paper on the front leaving a little margin. Then cut two triangles from the card stock & completed the basic layout & pasted pattern paper to those triangles too.

Then it's pretty simple, pasted few hearts punched out from pink pearlized card stock & added crackle accents to them (I love that crackling  ).

Stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on the same pink card stock, embossed using pink metallic embossing powder, fussy cut it & added to the layout.

Used 6 different stamps(3 types of stars, 1 flourishes, 2 sentiments) to complete the picture.
Also used two flower embellishments & added a bakers twine to make them seem suspended from the top.

Finally added a photo of my friend in the middle.

Well, I did end up adding few rhinestones near those hearts on one of my friend's advice. And I love how it turned out!!

       And that completes the layout

Update:

       Happy Birthday Riswana :) :)

Frosty winter scene ♥♥

       Good day friends!!
Today I am sharing here the first ATC of this year 2016 ♥

I took a 3x4 inch Iris SG white card stock & colored using blue & turquoise acrylic paint.

Then I stamped some snow flakes using VersaMark ink & used both white and clear embossing powder to add some interest to the background.

Then I used Signo white pen to create the snow line.

Then applied Ranger texture paste to add the snow to the scene. Used Wow blue & Platinum sparkle embossing powder to add some highlights to the snow.
Used 3D glitters to add some pine trees. Then added the snow on the trees using a white correction pen!!

Once the main panel was ready, I went on with creating my frosty window pane.

Used a small knife to cut out 4 small windows out of an Iris SG white card stock. Pasted a vellum sheet on the back using double sided tape. Used Vellum for the window instead of acetate to give a frosty look.
Then colored the front frame using brown acrylic paint & added black highlights to give a wooden texture.

Some more shots for you guys ♥♥

Reach for the Stars ♥

       Good morning

Here I am, back with a bright & cheerful card!! Well, this is a card that I made without much planning. There was this ItsyBitsy stencil lying around & I started playing with it and this was the result.
Though the card was unintentional, the colors were decided based on the fact that lots of challenges were based on the Tricolor theme.

So here it is, I water-colored a Neenah solar white card stock using Distress Inks, various shades of blue with dark blue droplets splattered around.

Then used an ItsyBitsy stencil & created the floral and butterflies using homemade texture paste. ( I was so involved that I forgot to take photos from this point. Oops!!)

Then colored everything using acrylic colors & added the antennae of butterflies using a black pen!! Sentiment is from Penny black Eloquence stamp set; embossed using Ranger white embossing powder.

Added to a white card base to match the sentiments :)

Dance to your own Music ♥♥

       Hi friends, happy day.
After a short gap I'm back with a CAS card today. And I must say CAS isn't my usual style & it was a bit challenging.
Once I finished I was happy how it turned out & it inspired me to do more CAS style in the future

Since it is a CAS style, there isn't much to write about how I did.
I took a Neenah solar white card stock & started sponging with 5 distress colors, I didn't care much about the center as I knew it will go under my fussy cut lion. Splashed some pink drops & used water drops to create some texture in the sponged area, I love how DI reacts with water

Then used my awesome & cute animal stamp set I got from ICR to stamp the lion & emboss it in black. Water colored using Distress Inks.
And finally fussy cut the lion & kept it aside.

Then used Iris SG white to make the card base, used pink & purple Distress mini ink pads to add some random strokes to the edges.

Added few musical notes to my Neenah solar white card around the distress colors in Golden tinsel embossing powder & stamped the sentiment using silver glitter embossing powder.

Added double sided foam tape to the fussy cut lion & mounted it on the distress inked area. Finally used red tacky tape to put together the front of the card

Today is my friend's birthday & so this sentiment on the inside with few musical notes.

Every End is a new Beginning ♥♥

       Happy new year
Today I'm sharing a New Year themed mixed media canvas I did in a hurry to gift to my dad's friend's family in Canada.

It all started with a Brustro's 10x14inch stretched canvas board.
Added a layer of gesso & once it dried used my homemade texture paste with Hot Off The Press Butterfly Focal Stencils to add some butterflies & corner flourishes.

Few more shots to show the amazing detailing in this stencil, I love it

I was in a hurry & forgot to take photos, so here is what I did. Used acrylic colors to color the butterflies pink, the flourishes green & the rest blue. Just rough coloring to give a distressed finish.

.

Then stamped some flourishes from ItsyBitsy stamp set all around & embossed it using clear embossing powder.
Used Inca gold Gold color to give some highlights to the textured surfaces & the clear embossing.
Finally added some snow flakes using Liquid platinum embossing powder (snowing there in Canada ).

And stamped the sentiments with black Archival ink & added few highlights with my Uniball white pen.

Not my best but just something I put together in the short time I had & I think it came out okay
